Reading The BMI Table

Identifying Your Height

Locate the leftmost column labeled "Height in Feet & Inches". Find your height within this column.

Finding Your Weight

Look at the row with your height and identify your weight with in this row.

Determining BMI

Follow the column corresponding to your chosen Weight until you reach the topmost row in bold. The value in the top row is your estimated BMI.

Example:

Imagine you're 5 feet 5 inches tall and want to determine the BMI for a weight of 120 lb

  1. Find 5'5" in the "Height" column.
  2. Locate 120 lb in the row with 5'5" height.
  3. Move up the column labeled "120" until you reach the top row for 20 BMI.
